Our third charity golf day took place at Kingswood on a lovely summer’s day on 24th June. After days of quite biblical weather, and thanks to the wonderful greens staff at Kingswood, the course was in top class condition. Whilst the golf was good, our charity aims were smashed thanks to the incredible generosity of players, guests and friends of the firm. A huge £30,000 was raised for a number of charitable causes.
£20,000 went to the Atkinson Morley Neuro Surgery unit at St Georges Hospital for the purchase of much needed, leading-edge equipment.
Golfers who excelled had nominated their chosen causes and here’s where the money is going:
- £2,000 each to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice & Cancer Research UK
- £1,000 – Scotties Little Soldiers
- £500 each to Save The Children | West Herts Hospital | Brentwood Catholic Childrens’ Society | St Peter & St James Hospice | Chestnut Children’s Hospice | Surrey Air Ambulance | Princess Alice Hospice | Macmillan Cancer Support
Thank you to everyone who helped us raise so much money for these great causes.
