Despite a predominantly wet day at Kingswood Golf and Country Club nearly £17,000 was raised at our annual Charity Golf Day. On behalf of the Trustees of The Hurley Partners Charitable Trust we say a very big THANK YOU to each and everyone of the players, guests and friends who supported the raffle.
The Phil Stephens memorial shield was won by Garry Woodcock and this means £1,000 will be directed on his behalf to Sparks Children’s Medical Research Charity.
A team of neurosurgeons led by Tim Jones won the team competition with £3,000 to the “AKSG Neurosurg Fund” which is used to finance the purchase of specific items of very advanced medical equipment that is usually beyond the reach of the much stretched NHS budget. Those at the dinner you heard first-hand how Tim Jones has utilised donations that we have directed towards this fund in the past and I can assure you that 100% of all the money that we direct to this fund goes towards the purchase of medical equipment and there are no administrative costs for the operation of the fund.
You can view photographs of the day here.
The Trustees have another major fund raising event planned for later this year and all funds from that event together with the balance of the funds raised from the golf day this year will then be directed towards the purchase of medical equipment and every pound raised through the HPCT will go to charity; any costs of operating the charity are fully borne by Hurley Partners Ltd.
We are grateful for the unstinting generosity of so many of our clients, staff and valued associates.
