Tony Hurley
Chairman
Tony is Chairman and a founder of Hurley Partners. He has over 40 years’ experience in the Financial Services Industry, where he has specialised in Self-Administered Pensions. Tony was Managing Director of the Fairmount Group, overseeing banking, investment management and the pension trustee business. Following its acquisition by Brown Shipley, he was appointed to the main Board where he held the position of Head of Private Banking for a number of years. Tony has built strong and lasting client relationships throughout his career.
Paul Cody
Managing Director
Paul is the Managing Directorr and a founder of Hurley Partners. He has over 30 years’ experience as a director of companies in the Financial Services Industry.
After studying law and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant Paul joined the Fairmount Group, where he rose to the position of Finance Director. Following the acquisition of Fairmount by Brown Shipley, Paul was appointed to the main Board and held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for a number of years.
Caroline Henry
Operations Director
Caroline is Operations Director at Hurley Partners.
She is responsible for ensuring that our processes, procedures and IT capabilities support our team in continuing to provide clients with the high quality service Hurley prides itself on and ensuring we maintain exemplary standards of compliance with regulatory requirements.
Caroline has worked with senior members of the Hurley team for over 20 years’ holding senior roles within operations, compliance and project management.

Director
Julie is a Director of Hurley Partners and specialises in advising clients on the current pension regime and broader investment and financial planning strategies.
Julie’s extensive experience in areas of complex pensions, SSASs, SIPPs, pension transfers and retirement planning are complimented by investment management, IHT planning and more generally helping families manage their financial assets and protect their financial legacy.
Clients and advisers appreciate Julie’s approach which is likened to a consulting trustee and in particular she has a rare ability to explain complex issues with clarity. She regularly gives presentations to professional connections. Julie has over 25 years’ experience of assisting families with their financial affairs.
Ian Mattioli
CEO – Mattioli Woods PLC
Ian has over 35 years’ experience in financial services, wealth management and property businesses and, together with Bob Woods, founded Mattioli Woods in 1991. Ian is a Director of Hurley Partners.
Ian is responsible for the vision and operational management of the Group and instigated the development of its investment proposition, including the syndicated property initiative that developed the seed portfolio for the launch of Custodian REIT plc, of which he is founder, non-executive director and Chairman of its discretionary investment manager, Custodian Capital. His personal achievements include winning the London Stock Exchange AIM Entrepreneur of the Year award and CEO of the Year in the 2018 City of London Wealth Management Awards. Ian was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s 2017 New Year’s Honours list for his services
to business and the community in Leicestershire. Ian is also Non-Executive Chairman of K3
Capital Group plc, which is listed on AIM and specialises in business transfer, business
brokerage and corporate finance across the UK.
Michael Wright
Managing Director – Mattioli Woods PLC
Michael joined Mattioli Woods in 2004 after graduating with a Law degree from University of Leicester. Over the years, he has worked closely with his clients in creating bespoke and tailored retirement and investment strategies, allowing them to secure their own financial independence, whilst addressing other objectives such as cascading wealth down the generations tax efficiently.
In October 2019, Michael became Group Managing Director and in addition to his client portfolio, his focus is now on the strategic development of the Group’s wealth management and employee benefits divisions. Michael also leads the senior directorates in the delivery of the client proposition and consultancy functions of the business. Michael is a Director of Hurley Partners.

Charlotte Aspinall
Head of Investment Management
Charlotte is Head of Investment Management at Hurley Partners and is based in our Mayfair office.
She advises clients on all aspects of our Discretionary service, providing reassurance and confidence. She aims to make her professional advice as uncomplicated as possible.
Managing diversified portfolios for individuals, families, their pension funds and trusts, Charlotte takes time and care to build a real understanding of their requirements and attitude to risk. This often involves working alongside our pension directors to ensure a fully joined-up approach in the management of a client’s assets.
Charlotte is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute with over 15 years in the investment management industry.

Business Development Director
Peter is Business Development Director at Hurley Partners.
He is responsible for the strategy of developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with professional intermediaries – accountants and solicitors. Peter also has responsibility for all marketing and corporate communications at Hurley Partners.
With over 25 years experience in brand, communications, development and strategy within the financial and professional services sector, Peter has worked with many of Hurley Partner’s Directors during that time. Prior to this Peter had established and successfully ran an innovative professional services business for 10 years.
Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
Paul Harwood
CIO
Paul is the Chief Investment Officer and a founder of Hurley Partners where he heads the investment research and policy process. He has close to 40 years of experience in investment management and has worked in a senior capacity with leading businesses in the sector as an investment analyst and a fund manager. Alongside his broad investment experience he has developed an enviable expertise in respect of UK equities. He also studies economic and investment strategy contributing regularly to leading publications. Paul is also a Non-Executive Director of Unicorn Investment Management.
James MacLaren
Head of Manchester
James is an Investment Director and heads up the Manchester office. He manages relationships with clients throughout the North West and beyond, and has a reputation for his holistic approach to their financial objectives. James has over 15 years experience in investment management, latterly as a Private Client Director at a Private Bank. James lives near the centre of Manchester.
Julius Manduell
Senior Consultant
Julius has over 25 years experience in the investment management arena and was, for many years, a Director of the well known private client stockbrokers, Henry Cooke Lumsden. He also farms 280 acres in the western Lake District.
Julius was a Director at Hurley Partners and was instrumental in the development of the business in the North West as well as looking after relationships with key clients.

Jerry Rixon
Director – Hurley Trustee Services
Jerry is a Director of Hurley Trustee Services and has built an extraordinary reputation in the area of Small Self-Administered Pension Schemes (SSAS) over more than 35 years.
His clients value the way he builds and maintains close and long-term relationships with them and, where relevant, their larger family. For many, he is a family’s most trusted adviser, and from this comes a depth of knowledge and understanding that goes to the heart of delivering wholly relevant solutions to often complex pension and financial planning matters.
Many of his clients invest through their SSASs into commercial property where Jerry has extensive practical experience, which his clients value.
Jerry advises on a very wide spectrum of pensions and financial planning including IHT and estate preservation. He holds the trusted position of Executor for a number of his clients.

Martin specialises in advising clients particularly in the area of Small Self-Administered Pension Schemes (SSASs).
With more than 30 years’ working in the specialist field of member-directed pensions, much of it at senior level, Martin is one of the country’s leading pensions experts.
In his role at Hurley Partners, Martin focusses his expertise on our successful pension advisory services, with particular emphasis on developing relationships with both existing and new clients. He works closely with the firm’s other pension and investment specialists in a framework that has the simple objective of identifying and delivering the most suitable outcomes for clients.
Martin is a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute and holds the Diploma in personal financial planning.

Financial Planner
Ian has a pedigree in member-directed pensions and with his strong technical and organisational skills, provides advice to both SSAS and SIPP clients on all aspects of pensions and their related investments. He is also one of Hurley Partners pension transfer specialists.
With over 10 years’ experience in the industry and holding the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, Ian also represents Hurley Partners at the Association of Member-Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS).
Susanna Chandler
Financial Controller
Susanna is the Financial Controller at Hurley Partners and is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the business including management and financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis and statutory and regulatory reporting. She is a Chartered Management Accountant with over 10 years post qualification experience in the Financial Services Industry.

Chartered Financial Planner
Martin is one of Hurley Partners pension specialists based in our growing Manchester office.
He advises clients on the current pension regime and reviewing clients’ pension arrangements, in addition to providing advice on a broad range of financial planning and investment matters. Martin has nearly 20 years’ experience of dealing with the complex financial planning issues that face clients and their families. Martin holds both the Chartered and the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planning qualifications.
Karen Cotter
London Office Manager & Chairman’s PA
Karen has worked with Tony Hurley for over ten years and has a lot of knowledge about our clients. She works hard to ensure that all clients of the firm receive an appropriately warm welcome and that the office is well organised at all times.
Jo Gray
Operations Manager
Jo has overseen the transfer-in of clients’ assets to the management of the firm and managed the creation of robust processes in this regard. She continues to undertake a number of projects to ensure that we remain efficient in our use of systems and proactive in our dealings with clients.

James is one of Hurley Partners pension transfer specialists. He advises clients on a range of financial planning and investment matters and also works with colleagues in managing and reviewing clients’ pension schemes.
James joined Hurley Partners in 2016 from a London-based private bank and has a broad knowledge on all financial planning matters.
He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Chartered Member of the Institute for Securities and Investments.

Julie is based in Dorset and has built a client base in the central south and south west of England. She is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
James King
Investment Manager
James’ day to day role as an Investment Manager is to manage diversified client portfolios for individuals and families. This includes personal investments, ISAs, pension portfolios and family trusts. James has excellent industry knowledge across many fields gained in over 13 years within the profession.
James has obtained the Investment Administration Qualification and the Investment Management Certificate.
Justine Osborne
Pension Manager
Justine manages the day to day administration of clients’ pension schemes. She has been instrumental in establishing our systems for administering them and is continuing to develop these in response to changes in pension legislation.
Deborah Price
Operations Manager
Deborah has considerable experience of administration in pensions and investment businesses. She provides an efficient service and is always a safe pair of hands.
Katherine Willetts
Portfolio Manager
Katherine’s principal role as Portfolio Manager is to ensure the effective management of clients’ portfolios and accounts. This means she is active ‘behind the scenes’ in trading for discretionary portfolios, cash flow management, corporate actions and responding to client queries. The smooth running of new client account opening also falls within Katherine’s remit. Joining Hurley Partners in September 2017, Katherine has a wealth of operational, back and middle office knowledge having worked in investment management for over 12 years.
Katherine completed her Investment Operations Certificate in 2015.
Chris Collin
Senior Associate
Chris is an experienced pension administrator. Principally working for clients who have SSASs, he has extensive practical knowledge of these specialist member-directed pension funds and boasts over 16 years in this sector. Chris is able to assist clients in commercial property matters, an investment many of our SSAS clients favour. Prior to joining Hurley Partners he worked for a Private Bank in the City.
David Macefield
Senior Associate
David is an extremely knowledgeable pension administrator working for our clients who have SSASs.
A thorough and methodical attitude are his trademarks and this ensures that clients’ expectations are met and deadlines are adhered to. In this specialist area of pensions, David has over 20 years’ experience.
Lisa Conte
Pension Associate
Lisa is a member of the firm’s pension administration team. She has particular responsibility for overseeing the smooth operation of those Self Invested Personal Pensions managed by the firm.

Jessica joined Hurley Partners with over 10 years’ experience as a PA. Based in our Leatherhead office she provides essential support to Julie Sebastianelli and Jerry Rixon thereby enhancing our already high levels of client service.
Ciaran Quinlan
Associate
Ciaran is a member of the team at our Manchester office where he supports his colleagues in providing an excellent service to clients. Living in the city centre, Ciaran is actively helping in the development of the business with intermediaries and is studying for his professional qualifications.
Following his graduation from The University of Nottingham in July 2018, Ciaran joined Hurley Partners Graduate Training Programme. He holds an Upper Second Class honours degree in Economics.
Georgina Sebastianelli
Associate
Georgina is a member of the firm’s pension administration team. She is involved in ensuring the smooth operation of those Self Invested Personal Pensions managed by the firm.
Charles Simkiss
Associate
Charles holds an upper second class honours degree in Finance, Accounting and Management, from The University of Nottingham. Following his graduation in July 2018, Charles joined Hurley Partners Graduate Training Programme and is supporting the IPC and investment team. He has passed the Investment Management Certificate and is studying for the CISI exams.
Matt Voss
Associate
Matt joined Hurley Partners as an Associate and has completed his first year in our graduate training programme where he currently works across all areas of the business. He holds a first class honours degree in Business with Finance, a distinction in a master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Newcastle University and is studying to become a Chartered Wealth Manager. He works across all areas of the business in support roles and has taken up the challenge of being the organiser of Hurley Partners’ sports teams.
Sally Williams

Sally joined Hurley Partners in October 2015 following 26 years working at a Private Bank in Manchester. Sally has a crucially important role in the development of the Manchester Office and ensuring our trusted clients receive the excellent service they deserve.
